You will experience pain and discomfort at the tooth withdrawal site. to alleviate, your dentist may prescribe pain medication for you. You can also use a cold compress. by placing an ice pack in front of the extracted area for 15 minutes at a time. You should  drink water with a straw, limit strenuous activity and  hot beverages. The day after the operation. your dentist will recommend that you rinse your mouth with warm salt water (but do not swallow water) under normal circumstances. The pain will subside within 3 days to 2 weeks. If you experience any  pain, swelling, bleeding, or fever, you should contact your dentist right away.

What to do after extraction 

  1. Do not talk or answer the phone. This will cause the gauze to come off and the bleeding will not stop.
  2. Bite the gauze firmly. If the gauze is soaked, you can replace the gauze with a new one (but this is not necessary as the soaked gauze  also be used to stop bleeding).
  3. Do not gargle after 2-5 hours of tooth extraction.
  4. Place a compress on the cheek where the tooth was extracted. It will help stop the bleeding faster. you can make a cold compress by wrapping ice in a towal or soaking one in cold water.
  5. Take painkillers if you have pain, eg Paracetamol 500 mg 1-2 tablets.
  6. Antibiotics by ordered by the dentist.

  7. If you have an allergic reaction to the drug, such as a rash ,inform your dentist. to change a new drug.
  8. Avoid spicy food, drinking alcohol or smokey. after tooth withdrawal.
  9. Brush your teeth normally and should be brushed after the bleeding has stopped.avoid letting the toothbrush touch the area of the tooth.
